A boy of just 10 years old fell into an empty winch well in the village of La Lima, Tatumbla , Francisco Morazán, central Honduras, on Wednesday.
The fire department of Tegucigalpa, the country’s capital, responded to the scene after the family of the child, identified as Emiliano Mejía, requested help.
In a video captured, one of the firefighters can be seen taking out the child, who was covered in blood and apparently unconscious from the blow he received.
The Fire Department report, issued shortly after 8:00 p.m., indicates that Emiliano was transferred to a medical center with multiple head injuries.
Although it was initially reported that the child had died, neighbors denied this version and assured that he is at home with his family.
