A new wave icon has started to appear in WhatsApp group chats , representing the so-called ‘audio chat ‘ function, which allows you to start a kind of quick call between group members.

WhatsApp audio chats will allow users to talk to all members of a group in a more organized way than a call .

To start an audio chat, do the following:
- Open the group chat you want to start an audio chat with.
- Tap the waves icon that appears on your screen.
