Recently, a video that has been circulating virulently on social media has highlighted the complicated intersection between community justice and violence in Sahuayo, Michoacán.
This controversial incident documents the punishment of two men who assaulted Doña Rosa , an elderly woman, sparking an intense debate about the morality of these actions and their social context.
The original recording, which lasts just 29 seconds, shows the attackers laughing and attacking Doña Rosa while she is cleaning at the Morelos Municipal Market.
