Firefighter Marisela Sierra is a brave Honduran woman who was affected by the large fire that occurred on Tuesday in a spare parts store in the El Prado neighborhood in Tegucigalpa, the capital of Honduras.
Sierra was injured after falling from the roof of an establishment that collapsed under her weight while she was cooling down the raging fire that started around 10:30 a.m. on October 15.
The firefighter was transferred to the Honduran Social Security Institute (IHSS) for medical attention and is currently in stable condition.
The Honduran woman has bravely faced numerous fire incidents for nine years alongside the distinguished Honduran Fire Department.
Sierra is a mother of three daughters and is part of the firefighting team in Tegucigalpa.
Since March 2016, Marisela Sierra has been a key element in the Fire Department, where she has faced challenges and has had to face the loss of colleagues in the exercise of her duties.
