Once he becomes monarch, William appears to have a plan for handling the Sussexes.
There will come a day when Prince William will become King of Great Britain and on that day, big changes will come to impact some members of the royal family, including his brother and sister-in-law.
While King Charles has been open to a reconciliation with Prince Harry, the same cannot be said for Prince William, who, according to those close to him, is already making plans to keep the Sussexes on the other side of the Atlantic and as far away from the palace as possible once he is the monarch.
We keep our distance
Sources have told OK Magazine just how different things will be when William becomes King. In fact, unlike his father, the Prince of Wales intends to cut all ties with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. “Allowing the Sussexes back into the fold is a bad decision, they should resign themselves to being on the sidelines indefinitely ,” a source said. Prince William’s decision is “final”, and he believes it is better for relations to be non-existent with his brother and sister-in-law.
The source also suggested that when William ascends the throne, Meghan and Harry should “not expect any invitations of any kind” from him.
Invitation or not?
Speaking of invitations, reports have been circulating in recent weeks suggesting that William won’t even invite Harry and Meghan to his coronation. But royal author Christopher Andersen isn’t buying it. “Despite all the bad blood between the brothers, I’m confident that when the time comes, William won’t be foolish enough to exclude his only brother or sister-in-law, now fifth in line to the throne, from his coronation ,” Andersen said.
