A tense moment was experienced at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport in the United States, when a woman, an airline passenger, in a fit of rage, verbally and physically attacked several airport employees after they did not allow her to board after missing her flight .
The incident occurred on July 30 and was captured on video by several witnesses, who then shared it on social media, sparking outrage among Internet users.
According to information from media outlets such as Milenio and Univisión , the 31-year-old woman arrived late to board her flight, which generated a conflict with airline staff.
When the staff refused to let her onto the plane, the passenger reacted violently, hurling insults and climbing up to the counter where the workers were. Witnesses reported that the woman shouted “idiots” at the staff and began causing a disturbance at the scene.
Physical aggression towards employees
The situation escalated when the woman, after shouting and insulting the employees , entered the workspace behind the counter and assaulted two women, aged 24 and 40, who were part of the airline ‘s team . In response, two other employees tried to intervene to calm the situation.
In the midst of the chaos, the attacker grabbed a computer monitor and threw it at one of the workers, wounding him in the stomach. She also tried to throw another monitor , but was unable to do so because the cables prevented her from doing so.
Meanwhile, some children, part of a family waiting to be treated, watched the shameful act with fear, while their parents tried to protect them from receiving a possible blow.

Consequences of the incident
Despite the seriousness of the situation, the woman left the place on her own without being arrested. She even hit one of the employees with her cell phone before leaving the airport.
According to Chicago police , as reported by international media, no arrests were made following the incident, although authorities confiscated the woman’s passport.
Two employees were injured and received medical attention.

The video of the incident quickly went viral on the internet, where users were quick to criticize the passenger’s behavior. On social media, many called the woman another “Karen,” a term popularized on the web to refer to women who tend to attack or cause altercations for no apparent reason.
