Claudia visited a convenience store and purchased some instant soup. However, 15 days after consuming it, she began to suffer severe symptoms such as dizziness, double vision and breathing difficulties, resulting in total paralysis in less than 24 hours.
The young woman was rushed to the hospital, where she is now on respiratory support. According to health authorities in Pitkin County, Brazil, it was determined that the soup was contaminated with botulism, a toxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum.
