Oriyomi Hamzat, Owner of Agidigbo FM was hospitalized after 35 children died at a celebration in Ibadan
After the funfair stampede that killed multiple children, broadcaster Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat, who is based in Ibadan, was admitted to the hospital.
Hamzat, the operator of Agidigbo FM, reportedly sagged and passed out following the incident, according to the Daily Post.
The incident happened on Wednesday at Islamic High School in Bashorun, Ibadan, and about 35 children have been confirmed dead as a result.
It was discovered that the funfair was advertised on Hamzat’s radio station.
A source close to the broadcaster told Daily Post that he has been rushed to an undisclosed hospital for medical attention.
The source, who begged not to be named, maintained that Hamzat is still in the hospital as at the time of filing this report on Thursday.
“The chairman, Agidigbo FM, Ibadan, is currently unconscious in an undisclosed hospital.
“He could not handle the shock,” the source said.
