A Police Officer died in Morón after being hit by a Motorcyclist.
The motorcycle driver—also deceased—was speeding and collided with the officer. A woman was seriously injured and remains hospitalized in critical condition.
In the southern part of Morón , a police officer on duty at the Rafael Castillo police station was struck by a motorcyclist . Both died instantly as a result of the impact.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Don Bosco Avenue and Mburucuyá , in a border area between Morón and Rafael Castillo.
According to judicial sources confirmed to the media Primer Plano Online , the accident occurred when Franco Sebastián Zamarini , 33, was driving a white Honda Twister 250 at high speed and hit Sergeant David Pérez , 38, who was serving in the Technical Operations Office of the Rafael Castillo police station.
“The officer had his car parked on Don Bosco Street, heading toward Merlo. We don’t know if he was about to cross the street or if he was about to get into the car. What is established is that the motorcyclist drove by at high speed and hit him, resulting in a tragic outcome,” said one of the investigators consulted by the website.
The case has been brought under the jurisdiction of Morón’s First Prosecutor’s Office, headed by Silvana Bonini, who is investigating the circumstances that led to the tragic outcome.
The incident was judicially classified as double culpable homicide and culpable injuries , although the criminal action was extinguished with respect to the deceased motorcyclist , so no charges will be filed.
María Gómez was also riding on the motorcycle . She was taken by SAME Morón personnel to the Güemes Hospital in Haedo. According to official information, she remains hospitalized in serious condition .
