So ISWAP is releasing victory videos after overrunning a Nigerian Army position, but the same army was praised by Tinubu yesterday for ‘precision strikes’ in Benin Republic? So precision only works when it’s for political theatre, not against the terrorists butchering Nigerians? At this point it’s clear these criminals in government have an understanding with the criminals in the bush. Someone needs to explain the secret handshake between the Nigerian government and the terrorists.
I hope the troops are safe. This situation is truly pathetic, and whoever is putting these hard-working soldiers in harm’s way, using them as sacrificial lambs, will eventually be exposed. It’s completely demoralizing, not just for the army but for the entire country. The people in that area will struggle to trust the military.
