Breaking: NNPCL increases petrol price

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has again adjusted the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, increasing it from ₦865 to ₦992 per litre.

The new rate took effect on Sunday, sparking confusion and concern among motorists across several parts of the country.

Mixed Reactions as New Price Takes Effect

As of the time of filing this report, the company had yet to issue an official statement explaining the reason behind the latest increment.

However, attendants at various NNPC retail outlets confirmed receiving directives to update their meters to the new price.

At the NNPC Mega Station along Ogunusi Road in Ojodu Berger, Lagos, fuel attendants were seen recalibrating their pumps to reflect the ₦992 per litre rate.
