Free VDM Protest: Nigerian Youths Storm GTBank in Abuja Over VeryDarkMan’s Arrest

Free VDM protest is currently underway in Abuja as angry Nigerian youths storm the GTBank branch, demanding the immediate release of social media activist VeryDarkMan. The protest erupted after news broke that he was detained by the EFCC over multiple petitions. Protesters, chanting “#FreeVDM”, carried placards and banners as they gathered outside the bank’s premises in the capital city.

The Free VDM protest highlights the increasing tension between the Nigerian youth and government institutions. According to several witnesses, the protest is peaceful but charged with emotion, as many believe VDM is being silenced for speaking truth to power.

GTBank was targeted due to unverified claims circulating online that the bank was complicit in his detention. Security operatives have since arrived at the scene, trying to disperse the growing crowd. The Free VDM protest shows no sign of slowing down as calls for justice grow louder across social media.
