Ibadan’s popular vendor, Adeshina Olayinka, widely known as Khadi, has passed away. She was discovered dead in a room at Wetland Hotel in Akobo, Oyo State.
According to reports, Olayinka told her friend on Wednesday night that she was going to meet someone at the hotel. On Thursday morning, the man she met tried to check out early. The receptionist called Olayinka to confirm her safety before allowing him to leave. She answered the call, assured them she was fine, said she was only resting, and that she would check out later.
Later on, a receptionist who had lent her a power bank went to her room to retrieve it. After repeatedly knocking with no response, the hotel manager used an extra key card to open the door, where they found her lifeless.
Sources suggest she may have been used for ritual purposes.
