The Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office denies that El Doble R, leader of the CJNG, is the Prime Suspect in the Murder of TikToker Valeria Márquez.
The 23-year-old TikToker was murdered inside her beauty salon by a man posing as a delivery man.
On the afternoon of May 13, it was revealed that TikToker Valeria Márquez was murdered while on a livestream with her followers from her beauty salon.
Images and videos of the young woman being shot three times were quickly shared on social media, as suddenly, another woman grabbed her cell phone and cut off the live broadcast.
According to initial reports from the Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office, the young woman was at Blossom The Beauty Lounge when a man entered the establishment and fired three shots at her with a firearm.
“The victim is a person with an active presence and influence on social media,” authorities said.

Following the events, it was reported that an investigation had been opened, so the information was ongoing and could be updated in the coming hours.
The leader of the CJNG Elite Group is named as the prime suspect in the murder of Valeria Márquez.
A day after the murder of the content creator and model in Zapopan, various sites reported that Ricardo Ruíz Velasco, known as ‘El doble R’, ‘R2’ and ‘El Tripa’ , was the prime suspect.
The leader of the Elite Group of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) has allegedly been in a relationship with Valeria Márquez for several months.
However, Infobae Mexico consulted the Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office for the information, which was denied, as so far “that name is not formally included in the file, nor has it been mentioned in testimony.”
It was also stated that “the investigation will continue with the appropriate confidentiality to avoid any impact on it.”
Hours later, the Prosecutor’s Office issued a statement reiterating this version:
“In response to media reports that directly point to the alleged perpetrators of the murder of a woman, which occurred yesterday in Zapopan, the State Attorney General’s Office clarifies that, to date, there are no specific allegations in the investigation file .”
They noted that both the ministerial statements and other evidence—primarily social media posts and videos —are part of the investigation and are being processed and analyzed.
The State Attorney General’s Office confirmed that the investigation is being conducted under the femicide protocol and emphasized the importance of preventing the re-victimization of women during investigations of crimes, especially those related to gender-based violence.

Ricardo Ruiz Velasco of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel is facing a war against the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel in Guanajuato.
In addition to his alleged involvement in the TikToker’s murder, he has previously been linked to other criminal offenses; in 2012, with the murder of Daisy Ferrer Arenas, who was found in a sewage canal in Guadalajara.
He was also involved in the murder of Juan Luis Lagunas , known as ‘ The Pirate of Culiacan’ , as he allegedly took revenge after insulting Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias ‘El Mencho ‘, founder of the CJNG.
