In broad daylight on Monday, March 10, 2025, unknown individuals killed a young man in the Medina neighborhood of San Pedro Sula, Cortés department, in northern Honduras.
According to information provided by witnesses to the authorities and collected by local media, the violent incident occurred around 7:25 in the morning.
The victim was identified as Walter David López Deras, 27, who was near a shopping mall at the time of the attack, which was carried out with a firearm.
Although López Deras was transferred to the Mario Catarino Rivas Hospital while still alive , doctors declared him dead just a few minutes after his admission.

The motives for the young man’s crime are still unknown. On his Facebook account, he showed himself as a proud father of a girl , who would currently be less than 10 years old.
However, the competent authorities are investigating the incident to find those responsible for the death of the man from San Pedro, whose profession or occupation and other personal details are unknown.
