Security cameras recorded the exact moment of the accident that ended the life of a motorcyclist in the Chilapa sector , municipality of Santa María del Real, department of Olancho, eastern Honduras.
The images show how three motorcyclists were going along the road, however, from one moment to the next one of them lost control and ended up falling sideways on the asphalt.
It was at that precise moment that the driver of the pick-up truck that was going in the opposite direction was unable to stop in time and ended up running him over, ending his life instantly.
Although the reasons why the motorcycle driver lost control are unknown, one hypothesis is that he braked suddenly when he saw that the passenger car in front of him was reversing to enter the parking lot of a commercial establishment.
The motorcyclist who lost his life was identified by witnesses as Denis Medina, between 28 and 30 years old . The young man was originally from the municipality of Danlí, department of El Paraíso, also in the east of Honduras.
According to what little is known, he was a welder, which is why he was in the area where the tragedy occurred.
