Taxi Driver Dies After Hitting a Tree in San Pedro Sula
The taxi driver’s partner, identified as Jair, arrived at the scene to confirm that her beloved and father of her unborn child was the victim of the accident.
The driver of a VIP taxi died Wednesday afternoon in a traffic accident between the Barandillas neighborhood and the old exit to La Lima in San Pedro Sula, Cortés, in northern Honduras.
According to witness reports provided to HRN and TSI’s La Tarde, the young man lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree in the median strip of Juan Pablo II Avenue.
The truck with license plate number HEC 3280 was left on its side on the side of the lane and inside it was the young man who was identified only by the name Jair .
Paramedics from the 911 emergency ambulance confirmed on camera that the driver was “without vital signs, nothing could be done, we have to wait for the Forensic Medicine.”
A young woman, who is supposedly Jair’s partner and will soon give birth to their child, arrived at the painful scene, although it is unknown if it is their first.
The Honduran woman, who did not reveal her identity or provide any statements, was heartbroken and calling to inform the rest of her family.
For their part, his colleagues are shocked by the tragedy and lamented the death of the young man, whose age was not revealed.
Authorities are investigating the incident to determine who is responsible for the tragedy that claimed the life of the VIP taxi driver.
