North Koreans would rather commit suicide than be taken as prisoners – Zelensky
In his statement, Zelensky emphasized the suicidal role of Kim Jong Un’s troops on the front line:
“The North Korean army is involved in the fighting. It’s suffering many, many losses. We can see that the Russian military and the North Korean forces aren’t at all interested in the survival of these Koreans. Everything is organized in such a way that it’s impossible for us to capture them as prisoners. Their own people execute them there.”
“The Russians are sending them in with minimal protection. Today we received reports of several soldiers from North Korea. Our warriors managed to capture them, but they were seriously wounded and couldn’t be revived. There are some who would rather lose their lives, i.e. commit suicide, than be taken as prisoners.”
